Justification and Sanctification

Therefore since we have been justified by faith we have peace with God. If salvation depends upon the believer’s deeds our salvation is only as secure as our faithfulness. Justification is a legal word from the courtroom and for the believer in Christ. It is a past tense event, through the person and work of Jesus Christ alone. Justification and sanctification are inseparably linked together. Sanctification is the budding fruit of justification. What is the difference between justification and sanctification, and how are they similar?
